Excerpts from My Favourites

Non-Fiction

  • The 4-Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferriss
    • Wow, I wish I had read this at 20 — in my opinion this should be mandatory reading in schools.
  • The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari by Robin Sharma
  • The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins
    • Yes, she probably had an easier time breaking through as a white lawyer. Still well written and very helpful as food for thought.
  • The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman
    • Yes, I know — controversial. In my opinion there is something to it, and after almost 30 years with the same woman it has shown me that we are doing everything right, because I give her exactly what she needs.
  • You Can Read Anyone by David J. Lieberman
    • Really good to know.

Novels

  • Das Bienennest: Eine Welt ohne Maenner by Marie-Louise Winkler
    • I have to note that I always wanted to write a book myself but never dared. This book gave me the courage to pursue my vision.
  • Der Zeitbruechige (4 books total)
    • Although the second book personally is not my favourite.
  • The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
    • In my opinion should also be mandatory reading in secondary school.

Fantasy

  • Die Chroniken der Seelenwaechter by Nicole Boehm (40 books)
    • Devoured every single one.
  • Guild Hunter Series by Nalini Singh (14 books)
  • Schattenelfen (Trilogy) by Bernhard Hennen
    • An excellent trilogy.
  • Das Erbe der Macht by Andreas Suchanek (40 books)
  • Chicagoland Vampires series by Chloe Neill (13 books)
  • Sookie Stackhouse by Charlaine Harris (15 books)
    • Tougher than usual, really gets under your skin — but very well written.
