It is about a young man — a wizard, but not as over-the-top as in other books — who overcomes his fears, sets off on an adventure and finds some wonderfully quirky companions along the way.

In my opinion it is very well written, and above all there are plenty of pages of descriptive content — nature, buildings and characters are all described in detail and beautifully. To say more would already be spoilers.

I am currently on the second book and it reads very well — reminds me a little of the Schattenelfen trilogy by Bernhard Hennen in terms of style. Highly recommended for in-between reads.
